We poured concrete at the homesite yesterday, and it all went relatively smoothly. My brother-in-law Shane, Alan and I got it done in about four hours. There was considerable concern on the part of the Alpine Concrete folks about the structural integrity of the bridge. However, we have now seen a number of heavy-duty construction vehicles cross the bridge without a hitch--including the three concrete trucks loaded with six yards of concrete each. All that's left to cross the bridge is the house (knock on wood).
It rained overnight and has been off and on this morning. Hopefully the concrete cured enough yesterday...I guess we'll see.
