Branding Day

First try at posting a video....

We had a very uneventful day of branding on Saturday, and that was just fine by me. We had an amazing crew there to help. Doug Prichard, my neighbor was the brains of the operation. Earl was there to offer his expertise. Bodie ran the chute and loaned us his generator. I did the branding and most of the ear tagging and inoculating. My brother in law, Tim held the brand (where I'd been hanging it was about to cause a fire). Aunt Maureen was there to keep me humble as well as the syringes filled with the inoculations. Korin and Jake manned the gates and did a superb job of letting out the calves and keeping the pissed off mommas on the other side. Tera was the brute (and emotional) strength of the undertaking. And last but not least, Tracie took some great photos and this video of the iron hitting the hide. I never once heard the calves bellow, but thanks to video I know the whole thing was quite the auditory experience. Thanks to all who helped!
