Here we are on Valentine's day, waiting for our last three calves to arrive. After losing our first calf, we've had six happy, healthy babies. The moms have been great. Tera and I have gone out checking on them, once or twice a night, just to be sure nothing's going wrong. It ends up just being a nice, brisk walk.
Our latest calf, born the night before last, is a cute little heifer, all black except for some white markings on her muzzle and a pink nose. Here's a picture of her.
Hopefully I'll be back more often.
