Well, some may say it was a little too early to be having dinner around the fire...but I just couldn't stand it anymore. We got the fire going right before dinner was finished and it all just worked out. Korin was a big help. She helped get Emma out the door without dumping her plate (chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes). Nicholas was completely self-sufficient. At first it was just going to be daddy and the older kids, but mommy and Annika showed up shortly thereafter. Annika was awesome. She just sat right down and scarfed her dinner. Tera had to put on a
sweatshirt first (imagine that). It was a real proud moment for me, seeing my kids sitting around the fire, eating their dinners, talking a little and laughing a lot...All of us enjoying my wife's great food. Sometimes I worry that I sound like I'm bragging, but I really feel blessed these days and I thank and praise God for all our blessings!
