Whew! What a birthday! Took the day off school, so I got to wake up a little later than usual. Walked my kids up to the "bus stop." Ate a delicious breakfast. Opened my first present--Carhartt overalls. Fed the cows with my Aunt Maureen. Drank a pot of coffee. Opened my second present--Camo Snuggie from Aunt Maureen. Got in the car and drove three hours to Spokane to look at cars. Bought a mini-van (not to be, under any circumstances, considered one of my presents). Spent way too much money at Costco. Ate a nice dinner with my sweet wife--at the Salty Dog's in Deer Park. Drove home--a drive which will go down as one of the most annoying ever because I had to follow my wife as she got acquainted with her new car! Got home, finally. Unloaded all the Costco necessities. Opened last present--Stanley lunch box with thermos (and a sweater and a shirt from L.L. Bean which isn't as bad as it sounds). Lastly, watched the end of the Husky/Cougar game while talking to my brother Joe. The Cougs lost, but we both said, "Oh well." Good night.
