Work Day!

Papa Jim's truck being put to good use.  Tera ran in to Stott's today and picked up a load of pea gravel for Clara Belle's future milking shed--our spring break mission.

Little Girl says, "What's all the fuss!"  In this view from the hood, Tera and the kids (minus Annika who was at a friend's house) are unloading a yard of gravel.  We chose this material for the floor because it was cheaper than concrete and cleaner than dirt.  We'll see.  Clara Bell is lookin' pretty close!

A view from the business end of the sawmill.  On the safe side, John and Nicholas are measuring out the next cut.  We've been blessed to borrow a mill for the last year, however the owner has asked for it back by the end of the month.  Today we milled three, sixteen-foot logs into twelve really nice boards ranging from 1x6 to 4x6.  They are heavy duty, man!  Whew.  Thank goodness Phylicia is over for a visit, so she could pile them up for us!

The reason.  Mom and Nicholas representing the little family we're trying to nourish through a milk cow.  Fitting that Nicholas is pictured in this photo, because he is our milk eater, always has been.  Have a glass of milk and a smile!
